We launched “Up-Stage” in September 2006 in Barton-le-Clay in Bedfordshire. The regular youth drama club has 70 members and continues to grow. We launched in Ampthill and Flitwick in September 2007 and expect to be just as successful. 

We also produce adult plays, in particular, those of new writers, we strongly believe in the power of collaboration with writers.

We have also been working with various bodies to provide drama and arts based workshops, and we are now involved with promotion of the arts in general. Up-Stage" will be a powerful, inspiring Dynamic way of making a difference to young people's lives. We believe in giving everyone an equal chance to perform, and that every member is equal. We will celebrate strengths rather than concentrate on weaknesses. We will be aspiring to the highest standards possible, whilst always remembering that we are doing this for enjoyment. We will always listen to the young people...it is their club!

We have a large network of contacts and as a result are happy to advise on or organise arts-based events for you.

Youth Drama

We run weekly drama sessions of two hours. Our professional team are all CRB checked and we are insured through NODA (The National Operatic and Dramatic Association). We beleive in the power of play, and as such, all our sessions are fun. Our sessions are rehearsal based, in that we work towards shows, but we pride ourselves on the fact that we guarantee a speaking part to any of our members at least once a year. We do not cast on ability, but rather enthusiasm.
